Microchip and Rabies Vaccination
Your pet needs to be microchipped before it is vaccinated against rabies, it should be at least 15 weeks old at the time of relocationand have all core vaccinations in place.
Core vaccinations protect your dog againstRabies, Distemper, Parainfluenza, Bordetella and Hepatitis, cats require vaccination against Panleukopenia, Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Calicivirus.
Dogs need to be registered at the Belgian Association of Canine Identification and Registration in case they get lost or are abandoned.
Belgium has good domestic pet insurances covering risks related to accidents and illnesses.
